Swan Lake Restoration, September 2014

The Charitable Fund underwrote the project of removing some very unsightly concrete retaining blocks in Swan Lake. The retaining blocks delineated a feeding area for the flamingos of Parrot Jungle. The Fund provided the funding to remove these unsightly blocks, returning the lake to its early and more natural appearance. Native limestone rocks were added to complete the lake border to define the lake bank, to great visual effect. We have received wide acclaim for the restoration efforts. The results have markedly improved the appearance of the lake.
